BigBoy and as you said nothing slanderous that would put my site into a possible legal liability I let your comments stand. Again I invite everyone that thinks I won't let BigBoy say anything negative to read through all the archives.

There was a rumor going around that Chris was going to leave his wife after idol. Probably since he's made it big he can leave her and date a model or someone. Anyone else hear this rumor? Post it if you have!!!

Top 3, I cant tell you how wrong you are...Even in the Rolling Stone Magazine they say Chris will probaly make it in the top 2, AT LEAST top 3, and Cathrine will probaly win, they say Taylor has alot of potential, and Mandesa will have a slim chance at making top 4, although i think she is really good. They say Bucky is fighting a loosing battle i agree. Kelly is just getting publicity because she is the cute, ditzy, blonde girl. And the sad thing is, its not an act. Chris will make it! Did you know that the band members of "Fuel" approached him and asked him to replace their lead singer? Thats because Chris rocks! Even if he doesnt win, there is no doubt, he is going places! I anxiously await your next performance Chris! I'm taut with anticipation.

It has come up in the American Idol chatroom a couple of times, that Chris was offered a job with the band "Fuel." Could you let me know if this is true or not, or just rumor, so I can settle it in the chatroom. E-Mail me with Chris Daughtry as "subject" at zzzkayrozzz@aol.com

This is to the synical fans, Chris has done an amazing job and should be commended, not called a fraud. People who say that he copied Live's version of I Walk the Line, didn't listen to it. Live did do a version of it, but it wasn't that great. Chris did an excellent version of a song that has been done before. Chris's version was better, why should he give Live the credit for his voice. People need to quit bitching about Live's version, Chris is talented and he is going to win American Idol and become a very talented and famous singer and song writer.

Loved Chris from the first time I heard (saw) him! He is sooooo talented, I like that he has true family values and the person that he is...someone you could hang out with...sort of..wish I lived closer to NC, I am in CT...And the fact that he always chose my favorite songs to perform (Dead or Alive, Hemorraghe, Broken...WOW!)...then, he had to do...the 50's...Awesome...after his performance, I had to go rent the video and I have been listening to his version of "Walk the Line" ever since, his spirit puts me in a 'good place'. I also have heard on an interview that his favorite band is Live, who, although not really mainstream, has been one of my favorites for years...the way he performed this song...is even better than Ed. K. (lead singer for Live)...AWESOME CHRIS, keep it UP! I'd buy your CD's in a second and have been recommending to friends! See you on Tuesday!

Chris Daughtry rocks! Original or not he is by far the best singer/performer Idol has ever seen. So good, that i wonder if it would be in his best interest to win Idol. He should maybe consider quitting Idol and trying out for Rockstar!

D-Lishush, Negative is fine, debate is fine, when someone makes accusations of a legal/slandering nature they must be removed to protect the site. Note how many "negative" comments are still here. We are not into blatant censorship simply protecting ourselves from legal ramifications which is intellegent and necessary in today's world. If bigboy wants to post again and will refrain from things like using the words "thief" and "ripped off" we are happy to allow it. Again everyone simply must understand that if slanderous statements with no basis in FACT are allowed to presist unanswered we could be held liable for them. On the "private" forum issue, this is a private forum as in owned by individuals not the public at large. Just because it is open to public does not make it owned by the public. We again are open to debate and reasonable free speech with in the bounds of the law. Yet no comments tht could make the owners of this site grounds for legal recourse will be allowed to stand just to make a few people happy. Again please read through the comments here and on the archives you will see MANY negative comments that were allowed to stand including some of those made by bigboy. We at chrisdaughtryfans.com want to best server our visitors and when we have to censor we will so that we can keep the site up and active. It is very easy for people who have never been threatened with legal action for online content to say what "someone else should do" however, if your in the business of running sites you quickly learn that some limits must be set, the webmaster

I'm a HUGE Chris fan and would rather hear everyone's point of view than have someone filter information. Unless you make this a private forum, you shouldn't censor people's comments. Shame on you.....

This is not a PUBLIC site is it is owned and operated by private individuals who have chosen to censor Bigboy and some others not so much for "negative" comments but more due to pure bashing and making cliams that Chris commited "theft" etc. which would be considered criminal or at least a civil court matter. Such claims could leave the owners of this site liable for slander if they were to allow them. Further there is NO FREE SPEECH on someone else's web site. Free speach means you can say what you want in public or with your own resources. The staff of this site spends our money and our time to build and develop this site and we therefore reserve the right to remove what ever we deem as inappropreiate content. If bigboy were to build his own site we would defend his right to say anything at all (with in legality) to his hearts content no matter how much we might disagree with it. Other people have made negative comments here that were not removed it is the tact and stance that bigboy took that has led us to effectively ban him here. He was also posting every 10 minutes and clogging the forum with his negative comments. This is a FAN site for fans. That is how it is advertised and it is what we deliver. the webmaster

I am a huge fan of Chris so don't get me wrong.. I read your blog about "Walk The Line" last week.. It was a great version but don't be confused Chris did not write that version. It was originally performed by Live back in 2000 I have thier CD with it on it. He still did great though and I hope he wins

Any thoughts on Chris' song selection for Tuesday. It's Music from the 21st Century. I'm thinking,(or maybe hoping) for a Shinedown song. I read that they are an influence on Chris' band. Anyone else have and thoughts?

Top 3 are going to be Taylor, Mandisa, and either Keillie or Katharine... can't decide between those two yet. Chris won't be in it because he simply can't hold a tune. I have seen numerous musician websites that say he can't sing in tune and that he's is very pitchy. Also due to the fact that his support seems to be decreasing more each day, that leads me to believe he will not make it to the top 3.

I am looking forward to Tuesday's peformances with growing anticipation. In my opinion Chris is THE best in the competition this year, yet some how I think it is Catherine who will win. I think Mandesa has considerable more talent then her however, and I am hoping that Chris AT LEAST gets runner up, he deserves it. I am a rock fan all the way, and when I see a rocker come onto this show with alot of talent I cant help but root for him, Kelly is #2 on the poll which seems rather outlandish, because she doesnt have amazing talent, and the dumb blonde act it getting tidious. It almost is like her getting by on her looks alone, like Ace. Whom I cant but think is gorgeous, but again not an amazing singer. I cant wait to see what Chris has in store for us on the 21st century performance, he did so well with Broken and Hemorrhage. My favorite by him was the Bon Jovi classic "Dead or Alive" though. I keep listening to his "Conviction" song over and over, and I cant wait to buy his cd! Im suprised how much intrest I have shown in American Idol, this is after all, my first year watching. I have never been much of a fan, but after this I will be attending among the audiences every year! Good luck Chris! Rock on! I wonder, do all the other contestants have fan site such as this?

Chris did an excellent job on WALK the LINE...which was formerly done by Johnny Cash and then redone by LIVE a few years back..The Judges on IDOL realize and I am sure many of us do..that in ONE weeks time, Chris did not work with the orchestra and band to redo the song. It was a different version and that was what the Judges commented on..NOT that he totally changed the song..Come on people..be real..You are smarter than that

To John on March 25. I live in a very high class area in Northern Alabama, even though I am not originally from here. I am from the North, but now call Alabama my home. I agree that Taylor Hicks is very different and in the "Special catagory." But, it is high time that we get a rocker to win American Idol. I was a hugh Bo Bice fan last year. Both him and Taylor are from Alabama. Everyone where I live are sort of torn. Of course, we would like Taylor Hicks to go on and have a successful music career. I agree he is talented and different, but could not see me buying his music to listen or dance to on a regular basis. I can on the other hand see me listening and dancing to Chris Daughtry's music though. And like you, I am in my 40's and a top executive at Boeing, so I am not some stupid girl just in love with the way Chris looks or anything and do not have a crush on him. When Nirvana and Kurt Cobain started the grunge Alternative music in the early 90's, it was my favorite and now Kurt has become historic after his death. Then Pearl Jam followed and I think Chris's voice throws me back to Eddie Vedder's style of singing. But we have Green Day and other Altenative bands on the charts right now. I like bands, but it would be fantastic to have a single Alternative Rocker from America on the charts today. That is why I want Chris to win. And you have to hand it to him, his version of "Walk the Line" was fantastic and I have been a huge Johnny Cash fan my whole life. I think Johnny would have even been proud. I don't care of the band "Live" says that he stole their version of it from 2001. Chris only performed the song and did not record it and I know Lives music well. They are just jealous that Chris got such a response out of the way he sung it and got recognition for it when they never did. I do respect your opinion though and your thoughts and am not bashing you for them. Stay cool and Taylor Hicks is a one of a kind too. I at least have to admit that!

To Adam on March 25. How can you possibly think that Bo Bice, whom I still do like though, was in tune better than Chris? Bo is Bo and more of a Southern rocker who has more of a grittier voice. Chris is Alternative Rock, which his voice reminds me of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and him and Bo are both great in the style they do best. But those styles are still Apples and Oranges. They have different styles and unlike Bo Bice, Chris never wavers from who he is, period and you have to respect what Simon said, "Bravo to him!" Bo compromised when is cam to song eras, etc. and Chris does not. That is why Carrie Underwood ultimately won last year. Out of all of them last season, she remained the most like who she is, a country singer. I still wished Bo would have won it though, that is why we need a rocker to win this year! I think Bo Bice would even approve Chris winning! Alternative sytle, ROCK ON! We need more than Green Day these days to be up there on the charts and we need a single Alternative Rocker and not a group!

Chris is definitely my favorite this year in the American Idol competition. Last year, I wanted Bo Bice to win and thought he was great, but Chris blows him out of the water. Chris knows who he is and I am and have always been a huge Johnny Cash fan and what Chris did with "Walk the Line", was nothing but historic! Bravo, Chris! Keep being true to who you are and do not waver and you will win this competition and go on to be a great star. I will be the first in line to buy your first CD!

Wow is all I have to say Chris...You are by far my favorite Idol on the show, and I hope you AT LEAST get runner up. I have a feeling they are going to have Cathrine or Mandesa to win. But I am rooting for you! I love your song, "Conviction" I didnt know you were in a band. I am a rock fan all the way, mostly Classic Rock, i own 5 guitars so when i went to the band site i approved of the gibsons. I say, 90% of my music is Classic Rock and 10% is Modern Rock, well you are deffinatly up there with my 10% on modern rock! Good Luck on Idol!

Chris should sing American Woman. I heard American Woman yesterday on the radio, the updated version by Lenny Kravitz, and at the beginning of the song especially, I could hear it being sung fantastically by Chris if he were to get the chance and sing a similar version. Of course the original was by the world famous "The Guess Who", and that song peaked at number 1 back in 1970 for. It is really one of the old great classic rock songs of all time, people across many decades all know it. If Chris gets a chance to sing it, he will blow everyone away. In all the years I've been watching American Idol, the only exact song I ever remember anyone doing is Bridge Over Troubled Water by Clay Aiken, because it's a great old classic that makes it easy to remember. If Chris does "American Woman" on "American Idol", I'm sure I will not be the only one to remember him doing that song for years to come. Another great one I would like hear him do is a more recent one, it's Here Without You by 3 Doors Down. Chris has one of the clearest, best, rock voices I've heard in a long time. The songs he does are great, but I think it will be a big plus if he would do ones that are more known by people and that were songs that had big success when they came out and/or were redone.
